Amir Iravani, MD, FRACP

Amir Iravani, MD, FRACP, holds the position of associate professor of radiology at the University of Washington School of Medicine and serves as theranostics clinical director at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. His responsibilities encompass overseeing clinical and research initiatives while promoting interdisciplinary collaboration in molecular imaging and theranostics.

With comprehensive training in internal medicine and nuclear medicine, Dr Iravani specializes in molecular imaging and radiopharmaceutical therapy for various malignancies, including neuroendocrine tumors, prostate cancer, and thyroid cancer. His research contributions are notable, having been involved in key clinical trials, including the proPSMA, LuPSMA, and TheraP trials, that have significantly impacted cancer treatment practices. His research focuses on precision oncology, imaging biomarkers, and personalized radiopharmaceutical therapy.

Furthermore, Dr Iravani leads national initiatives in theranostic clinical trial development and participates in several national committees/programs, including the National Cancer Institute Cooperative Groups Program and as a member of the board of directors for the Society of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging Therapy Center of Excellence.
