Tina Bhutani, MD, MAS, FAAD

Tina Bhutani, MD, MAS, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist and chief executive officer and owner of Synergy Dermatology. Prior to joining Synergy Dermatology, she was an associate professor of dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco, where she codirected the Psoriasis and Skin Treatment Center and directed the Dermatology Clinical Trials Unit for more than 8 years.

Dr Bhutani understands the importance of treating the whole patient, not just the skin. She values compassion and a warm bedside manner, and she is committed to a patient-centered approach to dermatology. In addition to being a skilled dermatologist, she is recognized as a leader in the field and has given talks at many national and international meetings. Dr Bhutani is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a member of the National Psoriasis Foundation Medical Board, and the lead for the American Academy of Dermatology Psoriasis Expert Resource Group.

She is a native Californian. She received her MD from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in 2008. She then joined the University of California, San Francisco, where she completed her dermatology residency and a fellowship in psoriasis and clinical trials under the mentorship of John Koo, MD, and Wilson Liao, MD. Dr Bhutani has lived in San Francisco for more than 15 years and is dedicated to bringing high-quality dermatology care to this amazing community.
